Our Story

About the Group

The Disabled Women in Academia Network is an NADSN subgroup led by and for disabled women working and studying in academic environments. The group offers an opportunity to:

  • Share experiences shaped by both disability and gender

  • Build connection and peer support

  • Highlight barriers and inequalities within academia

  • Contribute to conversations that drive meaningful change

This network recognises that experiences of disability are not one-dimensional and that intersectionality matters.
