Our Story

About the Group

The Blind and Visually Impaired (VI) Network is an NADSN subgroup led by and for staff and PhD students in academia with visual impairments. The group brings members together to:

  • Share experiences of navigating academic environments

  • Support one another through peer connection

  • Highlight barriers and opportunities for greater accessibility

  • Contribute to wider conversations around inclusion and accessibility in higher education

Ultimately, this network is about ensuring blind and visually impaired staff and researchers are seen, heard, and supported.
