Our Story

About the Group

The Access to Work Users Group is an NADSN subgroup led by and for disabled staff who have AtW support, such as support workers, equipment, or assistive technology. At its core is a commitment to:

  • Peer support through regular, open conversations

  • Sharing practical experiences and challenges

  • Identifying common issues and opportunities for change

  • Ensuring disabled staff have a voice in how AtW evolves

Monthly meetings provide a consistent space for members to connect, ask questions, and learn from one another.

Shaping the Future of Access
to Work

The Access to Work subgroup led NADSN’s response to the UK government’s AtW consultation, part of the Pathways to Work: Reforming Benefits and Support to Get Britain Working Green Paper.

By drawing on shared experiences, members helped ensure that real-world insight informed national discussions about the future of this critical program.

See more details about the consultation on the government website.
