Access to Work Users Group

Dr Armineh Soorenian

University of Sheffield

About us

NADSN subgroup for and by Disabled staff who have Support Workers (SW), equipment and assistive technology funded by Access to Work (AtW). Central to this subgroup will be a peer support focus with monthly meetings.

NADSN’s response to the UK Government’s AtW consultation

The government’s current Green Paper, Pathways to Work: Reforming Benefits and Support to Get Britain Working sets out plans and proposals to reform health and disability benefits and employment support. This Green Paper consults on the future of Access to Work.

In NADSN, we feel, it is critical for Disabled people, their families and communities to be involved in responding to the UK Government’s AtW consultation and have a strong voice in how its future is being shaped. The consultation closes on 30th June 2025 at 11:59pm and can be found on the Government website.

Next steps

Dr Soorenian will be leading the preparation of NADSN’s response and will be organising meetings for members to discuss ideas. They are looking for expressions of interest from NADSN members to join this group.
